Mae has worked all over, but her passion has always been pets. During her life, she held numerous management positions both in restaurants and offices, but has always found a strong enthusiasim in taking care of pets for friends and family. Mae said goodbye to the corporate world in 2015 when she created Pink Paws Pet Care. She had already created magnificent relationships with others in her neighborhood and surrounding areas by offering excellent pet care when they needed it, and she wanted to continue to be able to provide exceptional service to others in need.
A California native, Mae recalls collecting caterpillars and creating a mock-environment (using a shoebox and foilage collecting in her neighborhood) so they could transform into beautiful butterflies in a protected habitat. She would often bring home all kinds of animals like bunnies, frogs and caterpillars.
As she got older, she remembers time she spent with her grandparents feeding apples wild animals like deer. It took a lot of patience, but soon the deer would come right up to her and take apple slices right from her palm.
Around the age of ten, she would go door to door and ask her neighbors if they would like for her to walk their dogs for fifty cents a block. The response was so great, and she loved walking her neighbors dogs so much, she began to make fliers and spread the word of her new "business".
During her many moves, she always offered to take care of people's pets while they were away from the home.
When Mae was old enough, she spent her free time volunteering at animal shelters. She loved just spending time with the cats, dogs, and other various breeds. She never saw it as work and genuinly enjoyed every minute she was there.
Throughout her life, she has always surrounded herself with animals and pets. Mae has owned cats, dogs, snakes, lizards, fish, small mammals, and even a tarantula.
In her free time, Mae enjoys being outdoors, hiking, cooking, reading, going to the beach, photography, and spending time with friends and family.
She is currently engaged to a fellow animal-lover and have eight animals together!
